In 1997, Dave Espley wrote an acclaimed comic travelogue of a typical season for a lower division football fan. In the event, it proved to be the longest – and most successful – season in the club’s history. Fifteen years later, the book was fully revised and updated, and is now available for the first time as an ebook.

When writing the book, Dave Espley watched no fewer than 67 games, enduring wind, rain, snow, 18 hour round trips to Plymouth and loonies insisting on talking to him on the coach to Bristol Rovers. It wasn’t easy.

The new edition looks at what’s happened at the club in the last fifteen years, and updates each of the 67 games from a 2011 perspective.
